Patient was educated on oxygen precautions as follows:

  1. Maintain compliance with timely checkup of the smoke detectors and regular battery change.
  2. Always arrange for an ABC fire extinguisher availability at home, in the event a fire accident was to happen. Have yourself and family members trained at operating the fire extinguishers based on the source of fire.
  3. Get yourself listed on the priority listing, for services especially during times of power breakdown or repairs needed for utilities, such as, telephone.
  4. Notify the local fire department and gas companies of utility of oxygen tank in your house.
  5. Observe compliance with timely inspection and service of your oxygen tank, as instructed by the service provider. Maintain a copy of the service register for your use.
  6. Exercise caution with oxygen tubing to avoid tripping over the tubing and suffering a fall and accident.
