Patient was educated on the process to disinfect a nebulizer as follows:

1. Nebulizer parts are disinfected every other day.
2. Nebulizer cup and mouthpiece can either be left in boiling water for 10 minutes or soak the parts in a mixture of one part of vinegar and three parts of hot water for an hour or two.
3. The extra water is shaken off.
4. The parts can either be air dried or the nebulizer parts could be assembled back and the air compressor turned on, which can help the parts dry quickly.
