Patient was educated on the side effects of using Sitagliptin as follows: Stomach upset Nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea are the most common side effects of using Sitagliptin. Hypoglycemia Sitagliptin can increase the action of incretins, contributing to increase in insulin secretion, thereby reducing the blood sugars. Sitagliptin can sometimes result in episodes of serious hypoglycemia. Muscle pain Sitagliptin can sometimes increase risk of muscle and skeletal pains and fatigue.
