Patient/caregiver was instructed upon therapeutic uses and mechanism of action of Requip as follows: Low levels of the neurotransmitter dopamine and consequent reduced stimulation of dopaminergic receptors in the brain and nervous tissues, result in development of symptoms of Parkinson’s disease.
