Patient was educated on contraindications for using Oxycontin as follows: Oxycontin must be avoided or used cautiously in individuals allergic to other opioid analgesics, such as Hydrocodone, Morphine, and Codeine. Oxycontin slows down the bowel movements heavily and leads to constipation.
