Patient/caregiver was instructed upon therapeutic uses of Xanax XR as follows:
Bipolar disorder
- Xanax XR can be used along with antipsychotics, such as, clozapine and olanzapine, for management of mild agitation and anxiety symptoms during the manic phase of bipolar disorder.
Obsessive-compulsive disorders
- Xanax XR can also help with reducing the anxiety contributing to the obsessive compulsive behaviors and thus can help with managing the symptoms of OCDs.
Sleep disorders
- By reducing the time to fall asleep and promoting the actual sleep phase, Xanax XR can help with relief in individuals with history of sleep disorders and insomnia.
