Patient/caregiver was instructed upon therapeutic uses of Xanax  XR as follows:

Anxiety

• By activation of GABA-benzodiazepine receptor complex, Xanax  XR results in overall depression of brain and spinal cord, thus resulting in control of anxiety in individuals with history of anxiety disorders.

Panic disorders and dysphoria

• By allaying the fears and calming down anxiety, Xanax  XR can help with offering relief with panic disorders and dysphoric states.
• Xanax  XR can also be used to calm the anxiety associated with pre-menstrual syndrome.
