Patient/caregiver was instructed upon therapeutic uses of Xanax as follows:

Bipolar disorder

• Xanax can be used along with antipsychotics, such as, clozapine and olanzapine, for management of mild agitation and anxiety symptoms during the manic phase of bipolar disorder.

Obsessive-compulsive disorders

• Xanax can also help with reducing the anxiety contributing to the obsessive compulsive behaviors and thus can help with managing the symptoms of OCDs.
