Patient/caregiver was educated on precautions to be exercised while taking Mitigare as follows:

  1. Your physician could change the dose of Mitigare, based on the relief obtained from symptoms of gout or side-effects developed. So, maintain compliance with follow-up physician appointments, to have your doctor updated on the relief obtained from Mitigare intake.
  2. While taking Mitigare, notify your doctor regarding any unresolved and worsening episodes of pain and inflammation in the joints, any muscle pain, any progressive/gross reduction in the urine volume, any findings of blood in the urine and stool, along with any other unpleasant side-effects, so that, your dosage on the medication could be appropriately revised. Be accommodative to dose changes with the medication, until you show an optimum response.
  3. Labs could be ordered for periodical evaluation of complete blood count, to follow-up for risk of bone marrow suppression, with Mitigare intake. Labs could also be ordered for timely evaluation of liver and renal functions. Observe compliance with any lab draws ordered during the time of Mitigare intake.
