Alzheimer’s patients could present with the following signs & symptoms, which could indicate the wandering behavior of the individual.
- Frequently becoming restless with pacing or repetitive movements.
- Becoming anxious in crowded areas, such as, busy streets, grocery stores, and marketplaces.
- Having difficulty trying to realize their usual and familiar surroundings and locate places like their own restroom, bedroom, and kitchen.
- Coming home later than the usual time from a regular evening walk or stroll.
- Appearing totally lost in a new or changed environment.
- Individuals frequently talking about meeting obligations, such as, going to work when they have not been working for years or meeting some old friends who could be no more.
