Patient was educated on signs and symptoms of anemia as follows:

  1. The major symptoms of anemia arise from inability to transport oxygen and nutrients by the red cells.
  2. Since the oxygen supply is deficient to the organs, patient usually suffer from the following findings:
  • Shortness of breath, especially on exertion.
  • Rapid heartbeat.
  • Limited endurance and listlessness.
  • Pale skin and mucous membranes.
  • Dizziness and difficulty concentrating, due to reduced supply of oxygen to the brain.
