Patient was educated on foods to avoid on a GERD diet as follows:

  1. Avoid/observe moderation with bread and bakery products with high-fat additives, such as, croissants, biscuits, doughnuts, and pizza.
  2. Avoid/observe moderation whole milk and whole fat dairy products, such as, whole fat yogurt, whole fat butter milk, and full-fat cheese.
  3. Avoid/observe moderation with highly acidic fruits, such as, lime, grapes, grapefruits, pineapple, and oranges.
  4. Avoid/observe moderation with soups that are very rich in tomato and heavy cream.
  5. Avoid/observe moderation with extremely greasy foods, such as, curries, pastas with heavy cream, foods containing butter, margarine, coconut milk, excessive oils, cream cheeses, and nut butter.
