- Individuals with recurrent psoriasis episodes are at increased risk for presentation with elevated blood lipids, hypercholesterolemia, deterioration of blood sugar control, poor blood pressure control, worsening joint pains, compromised vision, signs and symptoms of bowel inflammation, and compromised function of internal organs, such as, liver and kidney.
- Individuals with recurrent psoriasis episodes must keep a close watch and report to the physician regarding the following:

- Individuals must keep a close watch on blood pressure numbers, with log maintenance of everyday blood pressure readings. Observe compliance with recommendations made for low sodium/heart healthy diet, if any. Observe compliance with periodical lab draws ordered for studying lipid profile and intake of prescribed medications, if any, for blood pressure control. Report to your physician regarding any deteriorating numbers on daily blood pressure readings.
- Psoriasis can involve various joints such as, fingers, toes, ankle, elbow, knee, and spine, leading to psoriatic arthritis. Uncontrolled psoriatic activity in individuals can also increase risk for autoimmune joint damage and rheumatoid arthritis affecting multiple joints. Individuals can present with pain, swelling, and stiffness of the affected joints. Report to your physician regarding any exacerbation of joint pains, progressively worsening swelling, and deteriorating range of motion in the joints for a timely intervention.
