Patient was educated on precautions to be exercised while taking Repaglinide as follows:

  1. Repaglinide is quick and short to act. So, it is taken right before eating or along with the meal.  Since it is quick to act, Repaglinide is helpful in individuals with irregular eating times.
  2. This medication is to be taken no earlier than 30 minutes before the meal. Noncompliance with this instruction can result in serious hypoglycemic episodes.
  3. Do not skip your meals. Since this drug acts very fast, forget not to eat immediately after you take the medication.
  4. Repaglinide carries the risk of inducing seizures in some individuals. This is a rare and serious side effect for Repaglinide intake. Report to your physician immediately at the notice of any such findings.
