Patient/caregiver was educated on signs and symptoms eczema as follows:

  1. Eczema is a chronic inflammatory skin condition in which individuals have a genetic tendency to show a strong immune response upon exposure to food and environmental allergens, such as, pollen, hay, and seafood. The triggers that individuals respond to could differ from person to person.
  2. Eczema activation can result in inflammatory skin rash, appearing as brownish red patches with intense itching, especially involving skin on the extremities, eyelids, neck, and upper chest.
  3. Individuals can also present with small blisters on the affected skin, which can burst open leaking fluid, leaving sore skin. Also, the persistent itching and scratching can leave the skin raw and sensitive.
