Patient/caregiver was educated on contraindications for using Imipramine as follows: Imipramine use, especially along with a few other antidepressants, such as, citalopram, fluoxetine, and sertraline, can significantly increase the serotonin levels in the body and lead to development of serotonin syndrome.
