Patient was educated on contraindications for using Metronidazole as follows: Metronidazole should be used with extreme caution in individuals taking blood thinners like Warfarin. Metronidazole enhances the therapeutic effects of Warfarin and increases the thinning, making the individual prone for bleeding diathesis and internal hemorrhages. Metronidazole is significantly eliminated in urine. Individuals with compromised renal functions cannot eliminate Metronidazole and thereby, result in increased blood levels of the drug for longer duration, leading to toxicity. [...]

Patient was educated on contraindications for using Metronidazole as follows: Metronidazole induces a very strong sensation of nausea and vomiting with flushing of skin and rapid heart rate, when it is taken with alcohol.
