Patient was educated on the process to clean a metered dose inhaler as follows:

1. Clean the plastic container once every week, after removing the canister from the plastic container.
2. Do not wash the metal canister.
3. Cleaning the container regularly prevents clogging of the canister inside the container.
4. Clean the plastic container using mild soap and water.
5. Air dry the plastic container, by leaving it out overnight.
6. If the canister cannot be pulled out from the plastic container, clean the device using a clean cloth. Do not rinse the device with the canister sitting in the plastic container.
