Patient/caregiver was educated on measures to practice social distancing for COVID-19 as follows:
- Avoid crowded places: Avoid all events of mass gatherings, such as, following religious practices, where social distancing can be compromised, thus increasing the chances for contacting the virus. Even while going for your regular exercise routine, visit your neighborhood parks or trails at a time when the users are minimal in number. This can help maintain a safe distance of at least 6 feet between yourself and other people in the park.
- Minimize store visits: Observe compliance with social distancing protocol, while running errands. Visit stores during hours of least customer traffic, such as, early in the morning or late in the night. Observe compliance with wearing a mask always while in the store. Pay close attention to any indicators or directions, such as, signs on the walls or markings with tape on the floor, directing all the customers to remain at least 6 feet apart from each other, while shopping between the aisles or standing in line at the check-out.
- Many stores offer drive-thru, curbside pick, and home delivery services, which can help reduce the crowd in the store at the same time, thus limiting the risk for compromised social distancing. Check if your store is offering these services. If home delivery services are being utilized, observe social distance protocol with the servicemen during times of delivery of goods.
