Patient/caregiver was educated on measures to follow while in quarantine for COVID-19 as follows:

  1. Quarantine keeps an individual who has contacted someone with the disease and could have been exposed to the risk of COVID-19 away from others.
  2. Stay home completely, other than for your doctor appointments. Quarantine period will continue for 14 days after last contact with someone having an active COVID infection.
  3. Avoid all contact with other household members and pets in the house. Discourage any friends and family members coming to visit you.
  4. Individuals practicing quarantine should restrict themselves to a defined area/room in the house, use an assigned restroom if possible, and strictly discourage other household members to share these assigned areas in the house. If the quarantined individual has assigned room and restrooms, caregivers should consider reducing the cleaning frequency to as needed. This can contribute to avoiding/reducing contact with the quarantined individual and soiled clothing & surfaces, if any, which can help reduce transmission of the virus to the household members. Shared restrooms must be cleaned and disinfected after each use by the quarantined person.
