Patient was educated on management measures for prevention of angina as follows:
Compliance with medications

- Maintaining blood pressure, blood sugars, and cholesterol within permissive levels can help prevent episodes of angina.
- Keeping a record of everyday blood pressure and blood sugar readings will help for an easy follow-up.
Compliance with dietary recommendations
- Observe compliance with recommendations for heart healthy diet.
- Be watchful on the content of saturated fat in your food items.
- Observe compliance with periodical lab draws, to keep a check on the lipid levels, for any dose changes on medications to be considered.
Antiarrhythmic medications
- Individuals with history of cardiac arrhythmias are at increased risk for blood clot formation, which can obstruct the coronary arteries, compromise blood supply to the heart, and lead to angina.
- Observe compliance with any antiarrhythmic medications prescribed. Individuals with restored cardiac rhythm are less likely to form clots.
