Patient was educated on management measures for dyspepsia as follows:

  1. Eat several small meals in a day rather than three big meals. Eating big meals can lead to abdominal fullness, and make individuals more prone for symptoms of dyspepsia.
  2. Individuals with lactose intolerance should avoid milk and milk products.
  3. Try eating slowly at regular intervals. Eating fast can lead to increased swallowing of air, abdominal fullness, and make individuals more prone for symptoms of dyspepsia.
  4. Try avoiding foods that are more gas producing.
  5. Cut down on soft drinks and beer, which have a lot of gas in them.
