- Upon testing of an individual who came into close contact with someone having an active COVID infection, if the test yields a positive response, the individual’s status will change from quarantine to isolation and will be dealt further according to the guidelines for isolation.
- Isolation of a COVID positive individual could continue for a period, until all the following conditions are met.
- 10 days since presentation with COVID symptoms
- 24 hours with absolutely no fever without the use of any medications to control/reduce fever
- Other symptoms of COVID show no deterioration and are consistently improving
- Isolation could continue longer, if the symptoms of the COVID positive individual do not resolve.
- COVID positive individuals should always consult their physician and other medical personnel for recommendations to end the isolation period.
