  • Upon testing of an individual who came into close contact with someone having an active COVID infection, if the test yields a positive response, the individual’s status will change from quarantine to isolation and will be dealt further according to the guidelines for isolation.
  • Isolation of a COVID positive individual could continue for a period, until all the following conditions are met.
  1. 10 days since presentation with COVID symptoms
  2. 24 hours with absolutely no fever without the use of any medications to control/reduce fever
  3. Other symptoms of COVID show no deterioration and are consistently improving
  4. Isolation could continue longer, if the symptoms of the COVID positive individual do not resolve.
  5. COVID positive individuals should always consult their physician and other medical personnel for recommendations to end the isolation period.
