Patient was educated on management measures for orthostatic hypotension as follows:

  1. Avoid crossing the legs during sitting, as this posture can obstruct venous return from the legs to the heart and retain more blood volume in the legs, thus contributing to symptoms of orthostatic hypotension.
  2. Avoid extremely hot environments, such as, hot baths, saunas, and steam rooms, as high temperature can lead to excessive sweating and dehydration, contributing to episodes of low blood pressure and orthostatic hypotension.
  3. Avoid eating big meals and try eating small, frequent meals. This prevents redistribution of increased volume of blood to abdominal viscera, thus decreasing the chances for sudden drop in blood pressure.
