Patient was educated on factors determining fluid limitations in dialysis patients as follows:

  1. Strict compliance with fluid intake recommendations should be observed.
  2. Fluid intake recommendations and limitations vary between individuals for the reasons related to urine output as follows:
  • Some individuals on dialysis can still have a little kidney function in place and so, can be forming some urine.
  • This urine might not be concentrated and clearing all the waste products from the body, but still these individuals do excrete some fluid as urine.
  • Since they are eliminating some fluid from their body, such individuals can have a little more allowance on fluid intake.
  • People who are absolutely not forming any urine should strictly confirm to the recommendation made.
