Patient/caregiver was educated on precautions to be exercised while taking Aspir-Low as follows:
- Aspir-Low can interact with antidepressant medications, resulting in severe gastrointestinal upset, burning sensation in the stomach, and can result in formation of gastric ulcers. So, avoid taking any antidepressants along with Aspir-Low.
- If you miss a dose, try taking it at the earliest notice of noncompliance. If it is time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and take the dose scheduled. Do not take an extra dose to try making up for the missed dose, as it can lead to toxicity and dangerous side-effects with the drug. Notify your doctor and other health care personnel regarding your dose noncompliance.
- Periodical labs could be ordered, while taking Aspir-Low, to evaluate for liver and renal functions. Also, risk for bleeding and clot formation could be periodically evaluated, to determine the safe therapeutic dose of Aspir-Low intake. Observe compliance with any lab draws ordered.
