Nurse teaching to educate the patient and caregiver on arrhythmia.

  1. Arrhythmia refers to any change from the normal sequence of cardiac impulses.
  2. In an arrhythmic heart, these impulses may happen too quick or too slowly or sometimes even very random, resulting in a disorderly pattern of heartbeat.
  3. This disorderly heartbeat can impair the pumping action of the heart.
  4. Impairment of the pumping action of the heart will impair blood supply to the vital organs of the body, such as, lungs, brain, kidneys, and the heart itself.
  5. Impairment of blood and nutrient supply to the vital organs will impair the functionality of the individual vital organs.
