Nurse teaching to educate the patient and caregiver on arrhythmia.
- Arrhythmia refers to any change from the normal sequence of cardiac impulses.
- In an arrhythmic heart, these impulses may happen too quick or too slowly or sometimes even very random, resulting in a disorderly pattern of heartbeat.
- This disorderly heartbeat can impair the pumping action of the heart.
- Impairment of the pumping action of the heart will impair blood supply to the vital organs of the body, such as, lungs, brain, kidneys, and the heart itself.
- Impairment of blood and nutrient supply to the vital organs will impair the functionality of the individual vital organs.
