Patient was educated on precautions to be exercised while taking Mobic as follows:
- Mobic carries the risk of causing dizziness and confusion. One should stay away from activities, such as, driving and operating heavy machinery, until they are used to the side effects caused by Mobic.
- Mobic must be avoided or used cautiously in individuals with history of exacerbation of SOB with episodes of asthma and growth of nasal polyps with other NSAIDs. Mobic, in some individuals, is known to evoke similar response. Discuss with your physician about any such history and your safety with Mobic. Report any exacerbation of shortness of breath to your physician immediately.
- Maintain strict compliance with intake of Mobic as ordered, with regards to dosage and frequency, to derive the benefit of the medication. The dose and length of treatment depends upon the medical condition, severity of pain, and response to treatment.
- If you miss a dose, try taking it at the earliest notice of noncompliance. If it is time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and take the dose scheduled. Do not take an extra dose to try making up for the missed dose. Notify your doctor and other health care personnel regarding your dose noncompliance.
