Patient/caregiver was instructed upon therapeutic uses and mechanism of action of keppra as follows:

  1. Keppra is an anticonvulsant medication used to prevent epileptic attacks and control propagation of seizure activity.
  2. Keppra is used to treat partial, myoclonic, and tonic-clonic seizures.
  3. Mechanism of action of keppra is unknown.
  4. Keppra can also be used for management of chronic neuropathic pain and relief from migraine attacks.
