Patient was educated on Rocephin and its mechanism of action as follows:

1. Rocephin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that is active against number of bacteria causing wide variety of infections.
2. Rocephin belongs to the group of Cephalosporin antibiotics.
3. Rocephin is a Beta-lactam antibiotic that acts by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis.
4. Inhibition of bacterial cell wall synthesis by Rocephin will kill the bacteria and inhibit further growth of bacteria.
5. Rocephin is an antibacterial agent and does not act against any viral infections.
