Patient was educated on ectopic heart beat as follows:

1. Ectopic beat is a disturbance in the conduction system of the heart.
2. This is a cardiac rhythm in which the heart beat will arise from structures other than the natural pacemaker of the heart, which is the SA node.
3. There are 2 major types of ectopic heart beats

• Premature Atrial Contractions (PAC)
• Premature Ventricular Contractions (PVC)

4. These ectopic beats often result in some extra or skipped heartbeats.
5. These ectopic beats mostly are benign.
