Patient/caregiver was educated on contraindications for using Tamsulosin as follows:
- Tamsulosin use leads to drop in blood pressure and so, taking it with other antihypertensive medications can lead to severe drop in blood pressure. Try spacing Tamsulosin out from other antihypertensive medications to avoid episodes of severe hypotension, dizziness, confusion, and prevent any falls and accidents.
- Since Tamsulosin use contributes to drop in blood pressure, it must be used cautiously in individuals with history of hypotension and the blood pressures must be closely watched.
