Patient/caregiver was instructed regarding contraindications to receive PPSV23 pneumococcal vaccination as follows:
- Individuals with life-threatening allergic reaction to previous administration of this vaccine should not receive any further doses of this vaccine.
- Individuals with life-threatening allergic reaction to any component of this vaccine should not receive any further doses of this vaccine.
- Children below 2 years of age are contraindicated to receive PPSV23 vaccine.
