Patient/caregiver was educated on when one should get tested for an active COVID-19 infection as follows:

The following individuals must undergo tests that help determine an active COVID infection:

  1. All individuals with current active presentation of symptoms of COVID-19 infection, irrespective to their vaccination status (not vaccinated at all, not fully vaccinated, completed the vaccination schedule) should undergo testing for an active COVID-19 infection.
  2. Though asymptomatic, all individuals either not vaccinated at all or not fully vaccinated for the virus, coming into close contact with someone diagnosed with an active COVID-19 infection should undergo testing for the virus. Close contact, as indicated by Center for Disease Control (CDC), is a proximity of less than 6 feet with someone having an active COVID-19 infection for a span of 15minutes or more over a 24-hour interval.
  3. Though asymptomatic, all individuals either not vaccinated at all or not fully vaccinated for the virus, who participated in activities that bring them into close proximity with masses, must undergo testing for COVID-19 infection. Activities include participation in rallies, attending social & religious gatherings, living in over-crowded environments with no room for personal space, taking up travel assignments, and living in poorly-ventilated indoor areas.
