Patient was educated on how to apply Fentanyl skin patch as follows:

1. Select an area of the skin where you intend to apply the Fentanyl patch.
2. The skin site chosen must be flat, dry, and hairless to allow for proper absorption of Fentanyl.
3. Hair on the chest can be clipped short, if needed.
4. Make sure the chosen skin site has no cuts or incisions. Also, make sure the site is not inflamed.
5. Clean the skin site using plain water.
6. Make sure the site is completely dry before applying the patch.
7. Remove the patch from the wrapper. Make sure the patch is intact and not cut or damaged.
8. Apply the patch on the selected skin site and press the patch firmly with the palm of hand for 30 seconds.
9. Make sure the patch is firmly adherent to the skin on all sides.
