Substance abuse
- By controlling anxiety, lexapro can help individuals undergoing treatment for long-standing addictions, such as, substance abuse, smoking, and alcohol abuse.
Panic disorders and dysphoria
- By allaying the fears and calming down anxiety, lexapro can help with providing relief from premenstrual syndrome, panic disorders, and dysphoric states.
Obsessive-compulsive disorders (OCDs)
- Anxiety is one major component reinforcing obsessive compulsive behaviors. Lexapro, by reducing the anxiety, help to control the obsessive compulsive behaviors and thus can be used to manage the OCDs.
