Patient was educated on measurement and prevention of episodes of hypoxia as follows:

1. Oxygen supplementation usually is the main stay of treatment of hypoxia.
2. Compliance with bronchodilator inhalations and nebulizer treatments will complement towards better oxygen transport and delivery to the tissues.
3. Smoking cessation and avoidance of any respiratory irritants will help prevent any acute episodes of hypoxia.
4. Avoid exposure to secondhand smoke.
5. Be aware of seasonal changes to avoid exposure to any allergens that trigger episodes of bronchoconstriction and asthma.
6. Follow general precautionary measures to avoid any respiratory infections, such as pneumonia and flu.
7. Maintain compliance with vaccination schedule for flu and pneumonia.
