Central nervous system side-effects
- Digitek can induce some dizziness and make one drowsy. Digitek use also carries risk for causing or aggravating anxiety and agitation, especially in individuals with history. Individuals can present with complaints such as, feeling low and depressed, anxiety, panic attacks, trouble sleeping, hallucinations, gross appetite changes, impulsiveness, agitation, and aggression.
Digitek toxicity
- In individuals using Digitek, the risk for toxicity with Digitek is quite high, as the therapeutic and toxic levels of Digitek in the blood are very close. Individuals with Digitek toxicity can present with severe nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, appetite changes, headache, dizziness, confusion, and yellowing of vision. Individuals can also present with life-threatening arrhythmias, with associated chest pain, pounding irregular heartbeat, and exacerbated shortness of breath.
