Patient/caregiver was educated on the side-effects of using Mysoline as follows:
Musculoskeletal side-effects
- Mysoline use carries the risk of inducing/aggravating motor incoordination, resulting in clumsiness and unsteadiness during coordinated activities, such as, walking. Poor motor coordination can contribute to increased risk for falls and accidents. Also, individuals can present with severe exhaustion, diffuse motor weakness, and fatigue with Mysoline intake, which can further complicate the fall risk.
- Mysoline use can also result in uncontrolled rolling movement of the eyes, contributing to double vision. The confusion and poor motor coordination with Mysoline intake, added to the double vision, can steeply increase fall risk with Mysoline.
Addiction potential
- Mysoline carries a potential for addiction and abuse. Individuals with history of substance abuse have an increased chance for addiction with Mysoline use.
